2. How we use it
- To deliver the newsletter and any communications you've opted in to receive.
- To respond to pitches, partner inquiries and reader feedback.
- To maintain deliverability, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.
- To improve the newsletter based on aggregate engagement.
3. Legal basis
Where GDPR applies we process personal data on the basis of (a) your consent for marketing communications, (b) the performance of any paid-membership contract, and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the newsletter.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate — our email delivery provider, our hosting provider, our analytics provider and our payment processor — bound by written agreements that limit their use of the data to instructed purposes.
5. Retention
We keep subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed. After unsubscribe, we keep a minimal suppression record so we don't accidentally mail you again. Pitch and inquiry records are retained for up to 24 months unless we have an ongoing conversation.

7. Unsubscribe
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time on our unsubscribe page. Opt-out requests are honoured within 48 hours, in line with CAN-SPAM, CASL and GDPR.

We use a small set of essential and analytics cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
9. Children
The newsletter is intended for an adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email.
